Membership
“The world rests on three things, Torah, Worship and Tzedakah (acts of loving kindness).” (Pirke Avot 1:2)
Program and Membership fees support only a portion of the funds needed for Congregation Shir Shalom. We provide for clergy, study, religious education and programs to benefit our 100 plus members/families and our extended community (friends, guests, and visitors) who attend programs and activities of special interest. In order for our Congregation to provide high quality, value-based programs, (and to keep them affordable to all), regardless of economic and cultural circumstance, additional support must come from concerned individuals, corporations and foundations. Our community must invest today so that future generations can grow up in strong community of Jewish tradition and learning.
Yahrzeit Donations
Jewish people place great value on the customs and traditional practices relating to remembrance. Observances such as Yahrzeit, Kaddish and Yizkor have, for centuries, linked each generation with those that have gone before, and bound the Jewish people with their history. If you would like to remember your loved one by donating to the Yahrzeit Fund, enter their name and month of passing below, and click Donate.
